About

I am a former tenured professor with a Ph.D. in Philosophy with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity. As a former tenured professor, I have extensive experience with both developmental and line editing of students’ and colleagues’ essays, journal articles, and book manuscripts. As an author, I have been through the publishing process and am well positioned to help others through it. As a Philosopher and former Critical Thinking instructor, I am particularly adept at identifying argument structures—main claims, supporting claims, evidence in favor of main and sub claims; I can see both strengths and weaknesses in arguments, and I can identify main theses even when they are sometimes unclear to the writer themself.

Reasons to work with me:

  • I love learning! I enjoy reading new work both within the fields I’m trained in (Philosophy, Feminist Theory, Queer Theory, Gender Theory, Intersectional Theory) and outside them. I am a genuinely curious person.
  • I’m a nerd—I enjoy helping others strengthen their arguments.
  • I’ve been there—I know how hard and sometimes lonely the writing process can be, and I know how important supportive and encouraging feedback is to creating your best work. I will take you on your own terms and address your specific writing needs.
  • I ask good questions about your work. My interdisciplinary background allows me to ask questions from a broad range of perspectives that allow you to sharpen your thinking and writing.
